For the 4th we wanted to take Ava to see Ratatouille. She’s a big fan of Finding Nemo and we were hoping this would be another sweet Pixar movie and a great first movie theater experience.
The trip started off great. We sat her down and I went to get a kids pack and booster seat. She was all cozy munchin’ on popcorn and gold fish (she didn’t like Sprite… there were no other kids options… lame). It was extremely cute and she was enjoying herself. A few trailers went by, one of which she was exicited about, but then came the short film "Lifted" about a rookie Alien trying to abduct a sleeping human. It totally freaked her out and she melt down. I had to take her out and calm her down. I tried to bring her back in when the movie started, but no good.
Sadly, we had to leave. I think we’ll wait a wee bit longer before re-introducing the theater to her.
