On Ava’s birthday, January 30th, both Ava and Audrey went in to see Dr. Parish @ Pediatric Associates to get their respective 2 year and 2 month checkup. I love taking both of the girls places. Strong feelings of pride; not the kind you fall down from, but just proud to show off my girls.
Anyways, both girls are healthy. Here are a few stats:
Ava: 34" long (75+ percentile); 28 lbs (50+ percentile)
Audrey: 22.5" long (50+ percentile); 11.5 lbs (75+ percentile)
Good numbers! At the moment you can see that Ava is tall and slender, while Audrey is normal height and chubby.
These numbers can’t be correlated to how they’ll be as adults, but it’s nice to see healthy numbers. Dr. Parish predicts, however, that Audrey will be taller than Ava in the end. We’ll see!

It is my extreme pleasure to announce Stone Fairchild, born February 9th weighing in at 5 lbs 3 oz and 18.5 inches long. Charlie had an emergency c-section and both her and Stone are doing very well. Apparently Travis is tired, but who cares about him right?
Congratulations you two! And Travis, from one Papa to another, it’s the best!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is Audrey’s first v-day and Ava’s third. In general, I don’t like this "holiday," but that didn’t stop me from having a tasty lunch with my family at Claim Jumpers. The best part of lunch was Ava and her apple. A few weeks ago I was teaching Ava how to take bites out of things instead of only eating cut up pieces. For example, I can give her a grilled cheese sandwich and she’ll take bites out of it. It’s cute, but I usually cut it up anyways.
Anyways, Ava saw a small apple and asked for it. Elizebeth gave it to her and she started taking bites out of it. She loved it! Things like that show how she’s growing up into a little person more everyday. Now we have to go buy more apples!
