I usually vacuum the house on the weekend, but I have everyone leave, especially Ava and Audrey. In general, it’s best to not breathe in the nasty vacuum exhaust for about an hour after the vacuuming has been done. But this Sunday that wasn’t an option and I wanted to get it taken care of because there is no way I’ll do it Monday - Friday (too busy).
So as far as I know, Ava has never seen a vacuum in action so I was concerned if she’d freak out when I started. She didn’t even give the vacuum the time of day. All she cared about was watching mom making her "Easy Pleasin’ Oat Bars" (sugar free of course) and then squishing her hand inside the mixing bowl. It was cute.
I guess vacuums only scare cats and dogs.

Proud papa Ryan Christianson called me about 2 minutes ago to let me know that Rhiannon gave birth to a baby boy today at 2:26am. William is 8lbs 6 ounces & 20.75 inches long. Rhi was in labor for about 4 ours.
Congratulations you two! Can’t wait to see him! I bet Maya is excited!

Ava started to speak entire phrases instead of just words and she does it with a very cute voice.
She’s been saying "bye bye" forever now, but very recently she started saying "see you later." After I give her a bath, I dry her off and wrap her hooded towel around her and yell "naked baby on the loose!" and she runs around looking like a naked Jedi. As of last night she yelled the phrase herself before running around. She’s such a cutie.
As a parent you become astonished how quickly they grow, learn and develop, but it’s very important to notice the subtle things because everything builds upon the previous. Today she’ll string a simple phrase like "see you later" but tomorrow be saying a dozen more phrases that are steadily more complex. You have to remind yourself everyday to enjoy every single step and every single day because they don’t stop changing. And if watching them take the next small step gives you a fraction of the joy it gives us you can’t afford to miss a single day.
Love those girls!
Papa Sean.
