Its true what they say, the older you get the faster time goes by. It seems like Audrey was born a week or two ago, but no, she’s 1 month old today. Incredible!
Audrey is still sleeping with us, but Elizebeth has started to put her in the bassinet. Unfortunately, she hates it. She doesn’t appear to like the confined space, limiting her stretching ability. I think tonight I’ll haul out the travel crib we still have from Ava, which is bigger. She should like that better. She really likes Ava’s crib, which will be hers in a couple of weeks.
Over the month Audrey has spent about 95% of her time either sleeping or eating and she’s definitely grown to prove it. She already doesn’t fit into one of her New Born (NB) onesie.
To another great month!

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We sure did! Christmas Eve we headed over to Grandma Carolyn’s for a ton of food and chillin’. No one had more fun though than Ava, who like her sister was dressed up in Christmas jammies. In addition to ourselves Jen, Shamez, Amin, Shamina, Nishma and Sabrina ( hope I spelled the names right ) where there too. We all had a lot of fun passing Audrey around and playing with Ava.
Something you should know about Ava is that she talks about Shamez a lot, but she calls him "Shamee." But as soon as Shamee is around she gets all shy. It’s really cute. But even more exciting that Uncle Shamee is cousin Sabrina ( also known to Ava as "Brina" ). Ava and Sabrina love playing with eachother. Ava gave her a lot of hugs and followed her everywhere and kept sitting on her lap. Very cute. The best was when Sabrina was holding Audrey and Ava came up and gave them a hug.
Christmas morning Ava and I got up first, but I didn’t want her to dig into the presents yet. However, I did plop her on the ground for a couple seconds so I could plugin the Christmas Tree. In that time Ava cruised over to where she saw a huge Lego box, threw the present that was in the way behind her back and opened up the box and smiled big! Man that was cute. But I had snag her and give her breakfast so mom could enjoy the moment too. Needless to say, she reenacted it perfectly, and I took pictures of course.
I have more pictures to "develop" and upload, so check back soon. More to report on Christmas too.

PILLOW FIGHT THAT IS!
This weekend I grabbed one of the couch pillows and poked it at Ava’s tummy and she started giggling. So I started tapping it on her head and piling them on top of her. Non stop giggles! Then she’d try to take a pillow and get me back. Very cute!

Monday night I was getting Ava ready for bed and I asked her to give Audrey a kiss. Holding Ava, I leaned her over to Audrey and Ava gave her a nice smooch on the face. Very cute.

Audrey is three weeks old today! That blows me away! Any moment now she’ll be 30 years old and I’ll be dreading my upcoming 60th birthday.
The first week I stayed home and took care of Ava. That was fun!
The second week Grandma Carolyn stayed with us to watch Ava as I went back to work.
The third week Elizebeth took care of both of them and it was the smoothest week yet!
Ava is definitely keen on being a big sister. She shares her toys all the time and plays with Audrey’s "piggies" (toes). If Audrey cries Ava looks more concerned with her well being than anything.
Audrey has been on an eating spree. She only stops to sleep. She’s growing quite nicely too, which is a relief because Ava lost so much wait and had to be supplemented with formula before she started to gain. Of course she’s super healthy now with lots of energy, good sleeping habits and a healthy appetite.
Here are my current favorite pics of the girls:
