Hello All!
At 2:11am November 28th Audrey Carolyn Ann Neumann came into the world! She weighed in at 8 lbs 2 ounces and was 20 inches long. Amazingly, she looks a lot like Ava when she was born. Same face, same expressions and both have lots of hair. What else is amazing is that the labor was 2.5 hours long with less than 5 minutes of pushing! Elizebeth knows how to get those babies out!
So my last entry said her water broke. Elizebeth was actually mistaken, which I guess is common. She went into labor around 11:45pm on the 27th and we cruised on down to Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. Our midwife, Deb Monson, broke the water for Elizebeth and the contractions just got stronger and then voila! A baby! Just like with Ava, I "caught" Audrey and helped her into the world. It’s an incredible experience which I recommend to all fathers. I’m honored to be the first person to touch my baby girls in this world.
The real hero through all of this is Elizebeth, my wife and the mother of our beautiful children. Her strength, courage and determination allowed her to get through the challenging months of pregnancy while being a full time mom to Ava and taking care of me. Thanks honbon! I love you and am very proud of you!
I’m still working on the photo gallery and organizing all the new photos. So in the meantime here are the initial pictures I uploaded and e-mailed out to family:

About 40 minutes ago Elizebeth’s water broke! We’re all packed and ready to go! Just waiting for those big contractions to kick in! Got to go!
Sean.
This weekend I assembled the Christmas Tree and Grandma Carolyn fluffed it and Elizebeth put up all the ornaments. It looks very nice! When Ava came in to see it for the first time she was awestruck. She loves it and gets uber excited to get up close and study each "ball" on it. The excited smiles on her face are some of the most special moments in a dad’s life. The infusion of feeling can’t be matched by much else. Love that girl! Just think, soon I’ll have two baby girls with big grins
Papa Sean.
PS Why did I put up the Christmas tree ( and the lights outside? ) when its not even Thanksgiving yet? Well, we figure it would be easier to do this now before Audrey is born.
It won’t be long before we’re rushing off to Evergreen Hosptial in Kirkland. When we do arrive, we’ll be giving the staff taking care of us the Birthing Plan. For those who aren’t familiar, this is a one page set of requests/instructions for how we’d like the experience to go. To best illustrate this, here is our Birthing Plan for Audrey:
